Details
The inorganic compound Barium Chloride has the formula BaCl 2 . It is one of the most commonly available barium salts and readily soluble in water. It is white, poisonous, and gives a flame yellow- green tint, just like most other barium salts. It is also hygroscopic, forming the dihydrate BaCl 2 (H 2 O) 2 on absorption of moisture. Barium Chloride, 32% solution actually contains 26% (by weight) contents of purified Barium Chloride dehydrate in purified water. This specially prepared solution is employed in different commercial applications.
