Details
Barium Chloride Crystal Purified
The inorganic compound Barium Chloride has the formula BaCl 2 . It is one of the most commonly available barium salts and readily soluble in water. It is white, poisonous, and gives a flame yellow- green tint, just like most other barium salts. It is also hygroscopic, forming the dihydrate BaCl 2 (H 2 O) 2 on absorption of moisture. Owing to its low-cost availability and water solubility, it is frequently utilized in labs for Sulfate ion tests. Purified Grade, also known as Pure or Practical Grade, refers to those high-purity compounds that do not fulfil the ACS, the USP, or the FCC grade requirements. Purified Barium Chloride is usually available in crystalline form, although it is also found in powder form.
