Details
Barium Chloride 10%, For APHA
The inorganic compound Barium Chloride has the formula BaCl 2 . It is one of the most commonly available barium salts and readily soluble in water. It is white, poisonous, and gives a flame yellow- green tint, just like most other barium salts. It is also hygroscopic, forming the dihydrate BaCl 2 (H 2 O) 2 on absorption of moisture. The APHA solution is used for the determination of sulfates ions. This APHA-certified solution also satisfies the ASTM D1209 requirements and may be used to evaluate the concentration of dissolved and particulate contaminants in water and waste water treatment facilities.
