Ferric Ammonium Citrate Green, also known as Ammonium iron (lll) citrate (Green), has the chemical formula (NH 4 ) 5 [Fe(C 6 H 4 O 7 ) 2 ]. It appears as green transparent, scales, pearls, granules, or powder, is odorless, and readily soluble in water at ambient conditions. It can undergo thermal decomposition to produce acrid smoke and irritating fumes. Purified Grade, also known as Pure or Practical Grade, refers to those high-purity compounds that do not fulfil the ACS or the USP grade requirements.
