Details

EDTA Disodium 0.05M (0.1N) Solution, Reagent Grade EDTA (Ethylenediaminetetraacetic Acid), also known as Edetic Acid, has the chemical formula C 10 H 16 N 2 O 8 . It appears as a white crystalline powder and is slightly soluble in water at ambient conditions. It is formed when Ethylenediamine is condensed with Sodium Monochloroacetate in the presence of Sodium Carbonate. EDTA is a weak acid that is an Aminocarboxylic Acid and its solution appears as a colorless liquid. EDTA, 0.05M (0.1N) solution contains 1.86% EDTA, Disodium, dihydrate powder dissolved in 98.14% of distilled Water. Chemically pure or Laboratory reagents are two terms often used to describe Lab Grade chemicals. Lab Grade chemicals do not meet any accepted quality or purity requirements such as the ACS Grade, the USP Grade, and the FCC Grade, despite their acceptable purity. Due to its high purity EDTA, 0.05M (0.1N), Lab Grade is highly recommended for labs and commercial applications.

EDTA (Ethylenediaminetetraacetic Acid), also known as Edetic Acid, has the chemical formula C₁₀H₁₄N₂Na₂O₈.2H2O. It appears as a white solid crystalline powder. It is slightly soluble in Water at ambient conditions. It is formed when Ethylenediamine is condensed with Sodium Monochloroacetate in the presence of Sodium Carbonate. EDTA is a weak acid that is an Aminocarboxylic Acid and its solution appears as a colorless liquid.

Reagent Grade chemicals have high purity and are suitable in analytical applications. They're important in research because they provide results that are consistent, trustworthy, and reproducible.
