Phenol Red Indicator, 0.04%

Phenol Red, also known as Phenolsulfonphthalein, Fenolipuna, and Sulfonphthal, has the chemical formula C 19 H 14 O 5 S. Phenol Red Indicator, 0.04% Solution is a pH indicator that changes color from yellow ( pH 8.2). It appears as red liquid (neutral pH) and is soluble in Water at ambient conditions. Phenol Red Indicator, 0.04% Solution, Lab Grade contains ~0.04% by weight of Phenol Red Sodium Salt dissolved in ~99.94% by weight of deionized Water. Chemically pure or Laboratory reagents are the two terms often used to describe Lab Grade chemicals. Lab Grade chemicals do not meet any accepted quality or purity requirements such as the ACS Grade, the USP Grade, and the FCC Grade, despite their acceptable purity.
