Details
Lead metal, also known as Plumbum or Blei, possesses a silver-bluish white to gray lustrous appearance and tarnishes upon exposure to air. It has no odor and is insoluble in Water at ambient conditions. However, it is soluble in dilute Nitric Acid and Alcohol. It can be easily machined, extruded, or drawn into shapes due to its soft and ductile nature. On a commercial scale, it is primarily produced by roasting and reduction of its ores, namely Galena (Lead Sulfide), Anglesite (Lead Sulfate), and Cerussite (Lead Carbonate). Chemically pure or Laboratory reagents are the two terms often used to describe Lab Grade chemicals. Lab Grade chemicals do not meet any accepted quality or purity requirements such as the ACS Grade, the USP Grade, and the FCC Grade, despite their acceptable purity. Due to its high purity, Lead Metal Powder, Lab Grade is highly recommended for labs and commercial applications.
