Sucrose Crystals, Food Grade, Purified
Sucrose, also known as saccharose, Cane Sugar, and Table Sugar, has the chemical formula C 12 H 22 O 11 . It appears as a white odorless crystalline or powdery solid with a characteristic caramel or no odor. Sucrose possesses a sweet taste and is freely soluble in Water but slightly soluble in Ethanol at ambient conditions. It is normally obtained from Sugar Cane (15-20% contents) and Sugar Beet (10-17% contents). Purified Grade, also known as Pure or Practical Grade, refers to those high-purity compounds that do not fulfill the ACS, the USP, or the FCC grade requirements. They are mostly used in conjunction with Lab Grade chemicals.
