Sodium Thiosulfate Pentahydrate USP
Sodium Thiosulfate, also known as Disodium Sulfurothioate, Sodium Hyposulfite, Disodium Sulfurothioate, Disodium Thiosulfate, and Sodium Thiosulphate, has the chemical formula Na 2 S 2 O 3 . Commercially, it is produced by reacting by-product liquid of Sodium Sulfide synthesis with Sulfur Dioxide. A USP Grade chemical is the one that conforms to the criteria of the United States Pharmacopeia (USP). A substance that has received the USPGrade certification can be used in food, drug, or medical applications. Due to the high purity, our Sodium Thiosulfate, Anhydrous, is a USP Grade chemical.
