Salicylic Acid , also known as 2-Hydroxybenzoic Acid, 2-Carboxyphenol, and o-Hydroxybenzoic Acid has the chemical formula C7H6O3. It appears as an odorless, white-colored to light tan solid with an acrid taste. It is soluble in Acetone and slightly soluble in Water , therefore, when added to Water, it sinks and slowly mixes with it at ambient conditions. It is a beta-Hydroxy Acid that occurs as a natural compound in plants and acts as a growth regulator. Salicylic Acid 20% in Acetone contains 20% Salicylic Acid in 80% of Acetone.
