Ethanol 200 Proof (100%) Completely Denatured with Heptane, Kosher, Halal

Ethanol 200 Proof (100%) Denatured Alcohol contains 95% pure ethanol with 5% contents of n-Heptane, added for denaturing purposes. The maximum achievable purity of ethanol through the distillation process is only 95% with water. An azeotrope is formed by adding n-Heptane that upon removal of water gives 100% ethanol termed as Extraction Grade 100% Denatured Ethanol. Our Ethanol (200 proof) is certified from the American Chemical Society (ACS) due to its premium quality and high purity.

Ethanol 200 Proof (100%) Completely Denatured with Heptane, Kosher, Halal is ethyl alcohol, CAS 64-17-5, supplied as a liquid. Heptane is the denaturant, and it makes the ethanol unfit for human consumption. It’s a common denaturant for ethanol used in botanical extraction, and this ethanol also serves laboratory and manufacturing work. It carries Kosher and Halal certification, and the page also shows a GMO Free badge. The paperwork you’d ask for is already on the page under Product Manuals. You’ll find the Safety Data Sheet, the Technical Data Sheet, the Kosher and Halal certifications, a GMO Free statement, and allergen, BPA, PFAS/PFOS free, TSE/BSE and non irradiation statements. Certificates of Analysis for individual lots are listed there too.

You’ll mostly see this ethanol used for botanical extraction. It also turns up in paints, paint thinners, adhesives, cleaning agents and plastics manufacturing, plus everyday lab work. The real headache usually isn’t the chemistry. It’s finding a supplier who can ship hazmat, has the paperwork ready and stocks the size you need. Sizes run from 500ml up to 270 gallons, with cases and pallets as well, and the page spells out the hazmat handling up front. Choose your size, set up Autoship if you reorder, or send a request through our quote form for bulk volumes. On budget, on time, every time.

Manufacturing & Industrial

Q: What is Ethanol 200 Proof (100%) Completely Denatured with Heptane used for? A: It’s commonly used for botanical extraction. It also shows up in paints, paint thinners, adhesives, cleaning agents, plastics manufacturing and laboratory work.

Q: What does denatured mean, and is this suitable for botanical extraction? A: Denatured means a denaturant has been added so the ethanol isn’t fit for human consumption. Here that denaturant is heptane, a common choice for ethanol used in botanical extraction.

Q: What sizes are available, and does it ship as hazmat? A: You can choose 500ml, 1L, 1Gal, 4L, 5Gal, 55Gal or 270Gal, plus cases and pallets. Yes, it’s hazmat and a hazmat fee applies. The page lists the shipping line as “DOT: Alcohol, n.o.s. (ethanol), 3, UN1987, PG II)”.

Q: How do I get the SDS and Certificate of Analysis? A: Both are listed on this page. The Safety Data Sheet sits under Product Manuals, and lot Certificates of Analysis are right below it. The Technical Data Sheet is in the same place.

Q: How should it be stored? A: Our guide on how to store denatured ethanol walks through it. Check the Safety Data Sheet for this product too.

Q: Is it Kosher and Halal certified? A: Yes. The product title and the badges on the page show both, and the Kosher and Halal certification files are in Product Manuals.

Q: Can I order in bulk or set up Autoship? A: Autoship is available on this product, and cases and pallets are listed. For bulk volumes, send a request through the quote form .

Q: Where can I learn how this differs from other denatured ethanol? A: Start with our post on types of denatured ethanol . You can also browse the full denatured ethanol category .
