Diethylene Glycol Monobutyl Ether

Diethylene Glycol Monobutyl Ethe r is also known as Butyl Carbitol, Butyl Digol, and 2-(2- Butoxyethoxy) Ethanol. It appears as a clear, odorless liquid with a high boiling point at ambient conditions.

It performs the function of an aprotic solvent and helps to improve the gloss of baking enamels, and acts as a coalescent in architectural/industrial maintenance formulations. This solvent can also be used to speed up the drying time of printing inks and is effective in removing contaminants in industrial and institutional cleaners . It is also employed in solvent-sensitive plastic substrate coatings.
