Magnesium Oxide Light USP Grade

Magnesium Oxide, also known as Magnesia, Oxomagnesium, Periclase, Magnesium Oxide, and Seawater Magnesia, appears as a white, odorless, and hygroscopic powder. It is slightly soluble in water, and is soluble in acids. As compared to the Heavy form, Magnesium Oxide Light is less dense having more porosity and water contents. It constitutes a minimal magnesium oxide content of 96%.

A USP/FCC Grade chemical is the one that conforms to the criteria of the United States Pharmacopeia (USP) and the Food Chemicals Codex (FCC). A substance that meets the USP/FCC Grade specifications can be used in food applications.
