About Dicalcium Phosphate, USP/FCC Grade

Dicalcium Phosphate (CaHPO 4 ), a combination of Phosphoric acid and calcium salt, is also known as Phosphoric Acid Calcium Salt and Calcium Phosphate Dibasic. It is incompatible with oxidizing agents and, upon heating, can undergo decomposition into irritating gases and vapors. It appears as a white odorless solid at ambient conditions and is insoluble in water. A USP Grade chemical is the one that conforms to the criteria of the United States Pharmacopeia (USP). A substance that meets the USP/FCC Grade specification can be used in food applications. Due to its high purity, Dicalcium Phosphate, USP/FCC Grade also fully conforms to the FCC (Food Chemicals Codex) Grade. The FCC approval makes it suitable for foods.
